El film "Birdman", del director mexicano Alejandro González Iñárritu, lidera con siete candidaturas la carrera por los Globos de Oro, en unas nominaciones anunciadas este jueves en Los Ángeles.
"Boyhood", dirigida por Richard Linklater, y "El código enigma", de Morton Tyldum, le siguen con cinco postulaciones cada una.
González Iñárritu también está en liza a Mejor director por "Birdman", en una categoría que incluye a Linklater ("Boyhood"), Wes Anderson ("El gran hotel Budapest"), Ava Suvernay ("Selma") y David Fincher ("Perdida").
La película del mexicano, quien ya compitió por dos Óscar en 2006 por "Babel", también dio nominaciones a sus principales actores, Michael Keaton, Edward Norton y Emma Stone.
Sin embargo, no logró colarse en la categoría de Mejor película, donde están "Boyhood", "Foxcatcher", "El código enigma", "Selma" y "Teoría del todo".
"Birdman o la inesperada virtud de la ignorancia" cuenta la historia de Riggan Thomson, al que da vida Keaton, una estrella de cine venida a menos que en su día interpretó a un superhéroe y está desesperado por revivir su carrera dirigiendo y protagonizando su propia adaptación de Broadway.
A lo largo del camino debe lidiar con su hija, encarnada por Emma Stone, recién salida de un centro de rehabilitación y que trabaja como su asistente; con su amante y coprotagonista en esta producción, Andrea Risenborough; así como con su exesposa, Amy Ryan, y un actor problemático y bebedor interpretado por Edward Norton.
La cinta también lidera los premios Spirit del cine independiente con seis candidaturas y los SAG del sindicato de actores con cuatro.
La 72 edición de los Globos de Oro, que concede la Asociación de la Prensa Extranjera (HFPA, en inglés), se celebrará el 11 de enero en Los Ángeles.
