Acordar una pelea entre Manny Pacquiao y Floyd Mayweather para el 5 de mayo no es conveniente económicamente, dijo el jueves un asesor del filipino luego de que el pugilista estadounidense retó públicamente a Pacquiao en su cuenta de Twitter.
El asesor financiero de Pacquiao, Michael Koncz, dijo el jueves a The Associated Press que una arena de 45.000 butacas que se construye en Las Vegas no estará terminada antes de finales de mayo, y que organizar el encuentro entre Pacquiao y Mayweather en una sede más pequeña es “absurdo desde el punto de vista económico”.
Mayweather insultó el martes a Pacquiao y lo retó a pelear el 5 de mayo.
El promotor de la empresa Top Rank Bob Arum dijo a la televisora GMA de Filipinas que la única razón por la que la pelea no realizará es porque hay un “problema económico”.
