El presidente de Dior Couture, Sidney Toledano, denunció este viernes las declaraciones “intolerables” de John Galliano, al abrir el último desfile de creaciones del modisto británico de la firma que decidió despedirlo.
“Lo que nos ocurre hoy es una prueba”, declaró Toledano que habló, hecho poco común, justo antes de que comenzara el desfile.
“El hecho de que el nombre de Dior pueda haber sido mezclado, por intermedio de su estilista, por muy brillante que sea, a declaraciones intolerables es para nosotros muy doloroso”, agregó.
Dior anunció el martes su decisión de despedir a su estilista estrella, acusado de haber proferido, en estado de ebriedad, insultos racistas y antisemitas en un café parisino.
En la decisión de Dior incidió también la circulación por internet de un vídeo donde se ve a Galliano decir que “adora a Hitler”.
